Well, well, apparently I'm a writer of epic poetry.

Perhaps that's why my NaNoWriMo novel isn't going far ... it's prose?

Naaaw, I'm just procrastinating.  Back to it I go!  Calliope aid me!

Oops.  Umm, Laurie dear, or anyone who's successfully posted Memes, how do you do it without getting raw code?  I'm not posting in text mode.

Oh, well.  Most people I've friended should understand the above ... those who don't get to think I'm further off my rocker than usual.  <giggle>

My heavens.

You'd think, having done this once before, that this move would be a cinch. A snap, even. Walk in the park, and all that.
Well, you see, this time Daniel and I planned so that we had a month in which to move our stuff from the apartment to the townhouse. Nice, slow and easy, right??

Right. A bit *too* slow, actually. And I've been dreadfully lazy about calling people for aid! a_bacchus was sweet enough to remember and he phoned *me* last evening ... HUG!  Wow.  Nobody else feel bad ... remember, I didn't phone.  Mea culpa.

The movers are coming tomorrow morning, I'm not ready for them (as in things are a mess), I'm going out to MTC this evening with my Auntie to see The Tempest (::happy da... OW. Maybe I'll wait to do happy dances until I'm not quite so stiff), and I've gotten maybe four and a half hours' sleep each night for three running. And this is likely to be four.

After the movers, all we'll have to do (all ... heh) is clean the living shit (to say nothing of the dead shit, or the bird shit! How my dearly departed Ragamuffin managed to crap on the CEILING I don't think I want to know...) out of the old stuff, and get things into some semblance of normalcy by November 1st.

National Novel Writing Month begins then, and I have no intention of living in a home overrun by the Box Fairy all month.

EEP!

Please note, actually, that none of the above is a complaint, really. I'm pretty happy at the moment. I'm also starving ... time to eat!

Okay, this is the second time this evening that I've gotten to write this:

Squee! *FLUFF* and this time I'll even add ::happy dance:: for good measure.

I'm very excited about this move. Right around the corner, as it were, so it's really easy to take stuff from here to there. Closer to a couple that I consider dear friends, and don't see enough. And, well, the feeling of impending avalanche is already receding in the apartment. Get this, too ... I can **see my living room floor!!!!**

Daniel's thrilled, too, so we're feeding off each other's hyperactivity. Much fun. We got a free dessert at Perkins this evening, too, because apparently our (fabulous) server thought our orders took too long. Y'know what? We were so busy chatting we didn't notice.

I also get to use the brand new stove this week to make pumpkin pie for Thanksgiving. Much fun. Anybody else like pumpkin pie?? The pumpkin I bought is, umm, rather large. I can take orders for pumpkin goo - spiced or unspiced.

Does anybody happen to know how I can change the font size on different items in my LJ?  Such as, say, the options where one describes mood, location etc?  I rather like this setup in general (and would rather not need to fuss with the colours on a different style if I can avoid it), but the default font size precludes anyone but an eagle viewing it.  Or someone with a microscope.

Anyhow, other than frustrations with the LJ at the moment, things are going well.

Thoughts on technical issues, anyone?  I'm apparently not as creative (or chatty) as I thought I might be this evening!
